Antique Victorian Astragal Glazed Bookcase ca 1890
This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany astragal glazed bookcase has a breakfront moulded top above an unusual reeded frieze with inlaid corners. The piece has four astragal glazed doors with key and working locks and each interior has three adjustable shelves. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet, has replacement back boards, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
