AD Antiques Ltd / Signed and Designed
AD antiques was formed in 1997 by Alison Davey after she graduated from Edinburgh University. Now a leading international dealer in British art pottery, her business specialises in the most sought after examples of the leading designers and factories of the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
Having exhibited at the leading antiques fairs in the UK, and vetted at a number of them, over the last few years she has curated six important selling exhibitions. Typical examples of stock include the Martin Brothers, William de Morgan, William Moorcroft, Doulton Lambeth, Pilkington's Royal Lancastrian and Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre.
The business is diligent in its research and offers specialist advice to collectors and auction houses alike. It is this experience that means that Alison is regularly asked to offer an independent assessment of the authenticity and condition of the stock of exhibitors at vetted antiques fairs. In addition she has provided consultation to major auction houses and valuation advice to The Antiques Roadshow.
