Corfield Potashnick
Simon Potashnick and Jonathan Corfield Fry together make up Corfield Potashnick and have over 30 years' experience between them, dealing in 18th- and 19th-century English furniture. Based in south London, although they do not have a showroom, they regularly exhibit at a number of leading antiques and fine art fairs, including the Olympia fairs and the Harrogate Antique Fair.
Corfield Potashnick's strength is in formal furniture, mahogany and walnut, bookcases, bureaux and items of furniture. They also offer a selection of mirrors and smaller, decorative items including upholstered footstalls, sofa tables and canterburys, as well as more unusual pieces, perhaps a 17th-century Florentine cabinet, beautifully inlaid with ebony and ivory.
Simon and Jonathan are pleased to help customers with a range of complimentary services including a comprehensive restoration service using highly skilled craftsmen. Great care is taken in matching missing veneers and mouldings, remoulding brass fixtures and restoring pieces that have been damaged by water or fire.
