Elaine Phillips Antiques Ltd
Elaine Phillips Antiques specialise in 17th- and 18th- century oak furniture and associated decorative items - metalware, English Delft pottery, needlework, treen and tapestries.
Elaine Phillips established the business in the 1960's. She was a founder member of the National Association of Decorative Fine Arts Society in Harrogate and also listed in Debrett's People of Today. Elaine Phillips was joined by her husband, Colin, in 1970 and her daughter, Louise, in 1985. The business continues to be run by Louise Phillips, who is currently the BADA Northern Representative. The business has occupied the same premises at 2 Royal Parade in Harrogate for nearly 40 years.
The main emphasis of their stock is on quality, condition, good colour and patination of pieces.
The large showrooms, on two floors, are laid out in room settings. This enables clients to see how items may look in their own homes and forms part of the interior design service that Louise Phillips offers.
