John Joseph
After working in advertising, retail and fashion, John Joseph's love affair with antiques began in his early 20's when he began trading jewellery in his lunch break at Bond Street antiques market.
He was offered a stand in the annex of Barrett Street where he specialised in mourning jewellery seals, silver, watches and chains, and also sold at Bermondsey market, Camden Passage and Portobello Road.
John Joseph Antique Jewellery was established in 1980 and has now been operating for over 35 years dealing mostly in antique pieces from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras.
John's premises are now at Grays Antique Market and he maintains that the buzz of buying new items and meeting new customers are the most enjoyable elements of his work.
