Keith Hockin Antiques
As far back as 1968 Keith Hockin first became interested in old pewter and in 1970 with his wife, Pat, opened their first shop at 76 Derby Road in Nottingham. The rent was £8 a week, the rates £6 a month!
In 1973 Keith was invited to join The British Antique Dealers' Association and he remains a member forty three years later, selling a range of beautiful country objects. At any one time the stock might include a 17th-century Lancashire oak settle, a selection of 16th- and 17th-century oak carved panels, alms dishes and the odd wool-weight.
Keith and Pat moved from Nottingham to the charming Cotswold market town of Stow on the Wold in July 1976, occupying a period property in the Square, part of which dates back to the 16th century. The town is well-known for its antique shops and provides an excellent base for touring the Cotswolds.
They exhibited at the first three BADA fairs with great success. Now in 2016 they still continue to offer their distinctive stock to enthusiastic customers.
